Not Dead Yet

Sasha awoke from the snarls and snapping jaws of the ghouls assembling below her like a pack of wolves. Their glowing eyes glistened in the dark below. Blood dripped from her open cuts and gashes, falling to the mindless zombies that tried to catch it in their mouths. Her belly ached from the large cut on her stomach. Sasha groaned in pain self-consciously, and tried to lift herself away from the hungry ghouls. The shackles dug into her wrists and ankles and the heavy chains rattled as she slumped back down. Her body swung slightly from the momentum putting more pressure on the shackles securing her to the ceiling. The feline winced at the manacles pulling her limbs out of place and cutting into her. She was weak from the blood loss, hunger, fatigue, and pain. Her uniform was tattered, her body was sore and all she could do was remain still.

Sasha’s tail remained in a slight hook at the end, showing she still had some fight left in her but not much. The rosary she had on her still remained undamaged and swung lightly. “Be sure not to vaste anyzing, zis ist good, exotic meat and you von’t get a chance to taste anything like it again in your pitiful lives. So be sure to enjoy every bite. I left her barely alive so you can enjoy her at ze peak of freshness.” Zorin Blitz’s deep voice echoed as she made her way over to the servants of Millennium. The ghouls almost paced below waiting for the command to devour Sasha’s body. Her scythe shimmered in the rays of sunlight that made their way through the small windows above them all. “You may proceed.” She ordered and turned on her heel and left the room. The ghouls instantly began leaping at her, snapping their sharp teeth, attempting to rip off a piece of her while she was still alive. Sasha dug deep in her body trying to find any strength she had left. She inhaled sharply and felt her whole body quiver in sudden cold chill. The cross at the end of her rosary glowed a pale blue and gradually grew brighter. She exhaled slowly; her breath was cold and ectoplasmic fog flowed from her mouth illuminating a more vivid sapphire. The ghouls suddenly froze, confused at the feline’s actions. “Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.” Sasha chanted. Her body became flaccid as ectoplasma poured from her body, to the ground below and began taking form of Tigress. Ghouls hurdled out of the way from the mysterious substance. They had no idea what was in store for them or what was to become of them soon.
